Legends, headquartered in Owensboro, KY, has been in business since November 2009.  Prior to the change of ownership Legends had been focused on golf and ”pop up” retail at soccer events across the US.  Legends completely “relaunched” the business with the opening of our “Outfitters of Active People Store” in February 2011.

The focus of the retail store is providing active people of all fitness levels and interests; the apparel, footwear, and accessories they need to stay active.  Not only do we take pride in providing our ”activists” the best products, but also providing them services that go beyond traditional “retail.” Our model has allowed Legends to grow quickly into the ”go to” place for active people all over Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana.  We invite you to stop in and experience “it” for yourself at 325 Park Plaza Drive Owensboro, KY 42301. In addition to the retail store, Legends has seen exceptional growth in both our team and online business.  Through our website, thenextlegend.com, we have now sold products to customers in every US state.  Finally, our Team Sales division now supplies multiple colleges, high schools and some of the largest youth soccer clubs in the United States.

Legends Management Team

John Moore (Head Coach) – swimming, tennis, basketball, triathlons, cycling, paddleboards, water skiing, snow skiing, climbing, hiking, running, even yoga–John loves them all.  John believes living an ”active” life provides a multitude of life rewards, especially health and happiness.  Combining this beleif with his passion and knowledge of building businesses, John brings a unique perspective to Legends.  His goal for the business is to make being “fit” more fun so others can realize the benefits of an active life style and ultimately enjoy the life changing rewards.

Wes Carter (Associate Head Coach) -team player best describes Wes. It’s perfect that he should be our Team Sales Manager. As a Wes has helped grow Legends significantly over the years and his relationships with coaches put our team sales operation on the map. Wes is a true asset and is at the core of what makes Legends successful.

Mitchell Sims (Team Sales Manager)-joined the Legends team in January 2012 to build our regional team sales business.  As a former high school baseball coach, Mitchell appreciates the demands placed on coaches so his focus is on handling all the uniform, equipment and  fanwear needs for coaches, players, parents, and other interested parties so the coaches and teams can focus on playing the game.   In addition, Mitchell is a father of four boys that are sure to be future baseball hall of famers.

Suzanne Holt (Retail Manager)–is the retail manger at Legends. She’s a former runner for her college alma-mater (University of Kentucky) and even did a brief stint at the Nike mother ship in Oregon. We’re glad to have Suzanne to answer the tough questions… and to set a solid pace. She gets out with our run classes as often as she can.

Ryan Clark–AKA “The Bike Doctor”  has been working on bikes since he was 2, ok, maybe he was 3 and a half, but we guarantee you will not find anyone, anywhere that knows as much about bikes as Ryan does.  He is a passionate cycle enthusiasts and can often be seen leading riders around the local county roads.  Just try to stump him, seriously, try it.

Dylan Hammons (Footwear Manager)- is considered an “extreme athlete” by his colleagues and is either with his family or running the trails when not working the floor.  Dylan was one of 46 people to complete the Ozarks 100 miler in 2012.  Though Dylan’s running habits make him appreciate comfortable shoes more than the average person, he also knows how important the right fit is to anyone that wants to stay active.

Maggie Ramburger (Controller)-is a person you want on your team. She knows the business, operations and accounting side of our business like no one else. Maggie’s devotion to family, attention to detail and service make a difference for our team and our customers every day.
