Legends is excited to unveil its broad line of Brooks running shoes. The brand has recently ventured into an area of research and development that has given birth to a world class competitive, performance line of shoes. Here at Legends, we will provide our “active people” with the following Brooks shoes, followed by a little information about each product:
Brooks Ghost 4 (Male and Female)
The Brooks Ghost 4 is going to be your Neutral running shoe. It offers medium weight, height, stability, flexibility, cushioning and a soft heel. According to Runners World Magazine, “The shoe’s segmented heel isolates impact forces, helping the foot lay down more efficiently-while protecting legs during a long run.” Your friends at Legends love the shoe because it offers the versatility to work for any type of workout.
Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 (Male and Female):
If you’re looking for the top notch “award winning” shoe, you have found it. The Adrenaline won the “Industry Award” from Runners World Magazine. This shoe includes industry-leading, patent-pending Brooks DNA cushioning technology for the first time in this franchise style. A non-Newtonian liquid, Brooks DNA provides custom cushioning for each and every runner by instantly reacting to each step, delivering just the right amount of resiliency for a runner’s ever-changing gait, speed, and surface.
Brooks Ravenna 2 (Male Only):
Welcome to your sweet spot, mild overpronators. The Ravenna 2 is perfectly tuned to your needs, with just enough support and new anatomical Brooks DNA to adapt to each step you take, for customized cushioning and energy return. The 3D adjustable arch saddle conforms to your foot for an ideal instep wrap while a caterpillar crash pad smoothes out the landing zone, moving your foot efficiently through heel strike. Lace up and optimize your every stride with the Ravenna 2!
Brooks Launch (Male and Female):
The Launch is a neutral shoe for the runners who are in search of a light-weight trainer. The sole of the Brooks Launch is where the shoe finds its identity. Its BioMoGo midsole (decomposes relatively quickly in a landfill to reduce environmental waste) provides a somewhat softly cushioned platform for the shoe. The midsole does not have any noteworthy roll bars, wedges, posting, bridges, or any other fancy features to tell the foot what to do. The shoe simply dampens impact, connects well with the ground over a flat rubber outsole, and springs off at the toe. The shoe does not attempt to alter the runner’s gait during transition.
The Launch also provides an open mesh upper, to allow the foot some breathing room-great during those longer runs! It does so through light mesh layers that holds the foot in the shoe. Synthetic overlays cover important spots where the mesh would otherwise be vulnerable, such as the toe area and sides of the foot. All around, this shoe is optimal for training longer miles of speed work.
Brooks Green Silence (Male and Female)
Finally, my personal favorite! If you’re like me, I strive to “go green” in most areas of my life. I also go through a pair of running shoes every 3 months. This makes the Green Silence an obvious choice for me. Each and every part of this fast, groundbreaking shoe has a sustainable element; including soy-based inks and recycled materials. The Green Silence helps you take responsibility, and first place—with good karma to spare. At a feather-like weight of 6.9 oz. the low heel, flashy design, and eco-friendly shoe provides everything you could ask for.
Coming in 2012 Legends will have a whole new line of “Pure Project” Brooks shoes. This will include; PureConnect (Less shoe, more freedom), PureFlow (arch support without any bulk), PureCadence (lightweight shoe for overpronators), and PureGrit (the newest feel to trail running).
